What areas are outdoor roller blinds most suited to?

Almost any outdoor entertaining area! Verandahs, pergolas, gazebos, hotels, external dining areas, balconies, carports and more. They’re also becoming more commonly used as an external window covering. Outdoor blinds are suited for use all year round, and are designed principally to protect outdoor alfresco areas from the elements.

How do I secure my blinds if I have no posts?

In this case, we use what we call a cellar door anchor. This is an anchor point installed in the ground/pavers, etc. The double-ended clip on the bottom of the blind can clip onto this cellar door anchor and lifts as you wind the blind tighter. When you’re not using the blinds, the hook can lay flat so it doesn’t become a safety hazard. This is ideal as so many structures today are built to be as spacious and open as possible.

How do you clean and maintain outdoor roller blinds?

Keep your blinds unsoiled by regularly cleaning both sides of the material using a soft cloth and water. Here is our recommended cleaning process:

Remove any particles on the shade blind material to avoid scratches when wiping with a cleaning cloth.
Wipe gently with a soft fabric cloth using diluted warm water mixed with a water-based cleaning detergent. A good rule for this is one part detergent to ten parts water. Avoid hard scrubbing which may otherwise damage the surface of the material.
Rinse completely with fresh water and wipe dry with a soft lint-free cloth or sponge.
Allow to dry completely before rolling up.
